I grew up always hearing the term "zodiac killer" not knowing exactly what he was. All I knew is that it was an unsolved case and that it was a VERY famous one. it wasn't until high school when I watched a documentary that I realized just how close to home this case was. Two of his murders happened within a few blocks from my house today. I live right by the park and long windy road he committed his first two murders. This scarred me to the point where I was too terrified to drive anywhere near there, even in the daytime (which was difficult because I use that road to get to and from school). But surprisingly, it also got me very interested and intrigued. This case, as well as other unsolved murders and tv shows dealing with this type of stuff is what got me interested in law enforcement/psychology. Now I am studying to become a forensic profiler and hopefully work in the fields to bring justice and truth to families whose loved ones are taken by people like him.

It would have been interesting to see what Nancy Slover's, Officer Slaight's and Brian Hartnell's reaction to the movie's recreation of the calls were. It seems to me that if they got together, (I realize that Slover died in 2012), they might be able to direct a voice actor to reproduce the voice that they heard.

I think the Zodiac was a Navy man..likely a boatswain's mate at Mare Island. That would explain the ability to tie a complex knot so effectively, AND it would explain the wing walker boots...considering they also handle aircraft securing duties.

He recorded that previously on a tape player, it was rehearsed. And he said good buy, that way because everyone says good buy all the time if he said it normally people would notice him a whole lot easier. He's smart. Very smart.

Lawrence Klein(born April 29, 1924) lived at 217 Eddy St in S.F. in 1969. He had lived in Oakland 1964-1969. That S.F. is near the Curran Theater where Zodiac hailed a taxi driven by Paul Stein.

My theory.

The word "goodbye" that he used is not unintentional.. he specifically wants this lady to freak out.. the tone itself sounds like a question mark. Sound like "maybe this is goodbye from me, or maybe this isn't goodbye yet"

That pretty much says a lot that he has never heard anyone that he thought to be the man he talked to that pretty much eliminates most of the so-called suspects
