another way is to farm underwater forts, those yield siren gems and take only like 10-15 minutes and can be done at any time

Eventhough it can feel repetitive to fish, the fishes themselves are amazing looking in this game and was definietly my favorite faction to level up, I also grinded for a week to have one of the rarest title (57) Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves :)

Another way I use to level up which I recommend is placing an athena's fortune voyage on the quest table and farm ocean crawlers at old sand atol. The athena quest makes them spawn pretty quick. If nothing spawns or other mobs then you need to shoot out of the cannon and come back. But anyway... Nice video!

I joined a server two weeks ago and they were doing an alliance server. Met this dude who wanted to get that damned title. I joined him, and honestly had the time of my life fishing. It was mundane, but the laughs and whatnot made 7 hours go so fast. I def need to do theives haven runs, and hell, I will even give the other loot to people as long as they let me keep the gems and treasure chests lmao

FYI according to the SOT Wiki Empty Treasure chests can be sold to seaposts for a handful of gold but not reputation.

I’m trying to get Hunters Call before Pirate Legend because the Merchant Alliance has the worst quests ever and people don’t kill you while Solo running (as often) if you’re just a fisherman doing fishing things.

Ocean Crawler farming on tiny islands is effective too.

Doing the treasuries takes 15min and you get a good amount of gems.

If you have gotten most commendations then the best way to get mermaid gems in my opinion is to go to old salts atol and just farm ocean crawlers. However now with the sea fort update I can predict a considerably larger amount of players going past the island now, and if you have not gotten almost every commendation I do not recommend using mermaid gems to level up.

It’s very funny to me that the best way to level up the faction focused on fishing and hunting is to ignore all of that and go treasure hunting like every other company.

I never knew this thank you !!! I just so happen to be working on both Athena and Hunters Call so this will be perfect !!! ( I still need to hunt a lot of fish though to get a title im after ) but this will be very useful, and will be implemented ^^.

So idk how well known this is. I know I'm very late after this videos posting. Syk when on a captained ship. To add to its log, and to your pirates log, you can put an already cooked (but was looted) fish on your ship, simply place it, then pick it back up (basically instantly.) It wil register as you cooking the fish. Don't thibk this is really useful in any way. Just wanted to share this out when accidentally did it recently to discover it.

Personally i don’t do mermaid gems and stuff I head to mermaids hideaway and fish from the pond off a small stone island and catch pondies
