I 100% agree with her on the over prescribing of antidepressants. For years the doctors kept changing and putting me on prozac, zoloft, abilify, etc... Nothing helped and I became completely withdrawn from life. Turns out I have Hypothyroidism that kept going undiagnosed for 10+ years. Once I got my thyroid medicine I was a new person. I would still be having doctors put me on antidepressants if one doctor hadn't decided to do a thyroid test. Mostly all thyroid issues mimic depression symptoms. I was exhausted all the time. I just wanted to sleep. I kept gaining weight. No energy to even lift my head. 10 years on antidepressants made me a zombie. 10 years on Armour Thyroid have given me back my life. Some people need antidepressants but way too many don't.
