Today, we embark on a profound exploration of the theme "Rethinking the Interplay Between Morality and Law in the 21st Century." This conference, held at 4 pm in the United Kingdom, holds significance not only in academic circles but also in advocating for human rights and democratic values.
Our distinguished speakers, Nigel Simmonds and Luis David Fernández Zambrano, bring their unique insights and experiences to this critical discussion. Nigel Simmonds, former Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Cambridge and Emeritus Professor at the same institution, is not only recognised as one of the world's foremost moral philosophers but also teaches master's and doctoral courses in Law at the University of Cambridge. His diverse publications and debates with prominent figures, such as Professor Matthew Kramer, have made a lasting impact in the fields of ethics and law.
On the other hand, Luis David Fernández Zambrano, currently a Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences, UBA, has distinguished himself as a tireless advocate for peace culture and human rights.
