After an image of a man in his 70s sitting in Wetherspoons dressed up for his first post-lockdown pint went viral because he was reportedly left unable to order a drink as he couldn’t navigate their online menu and ordering system, Kaye, Judi, Denise and Jane had a powerful discussion about the ways in which technology can alienate the elderly. During the chat, Denise became emotional as she opened up about her dad's health.

From series 25, broadcast on 20/05/21

i've always paid contactless using my phone, i don't carry cash on me anytime🤷🏼‍♂️ but i do feel for elderly people, cash should always still be an option no matter what

I think it's really annoying that Wetherspoons has been blasted since it was most likely very very busy, it wasn't that he was being ignored - it was more likely that he was not being served as he wasn't next in the 'queue'

Weatherspoons should be ashamed of them selves. This is just as valid customer, hes probably had his two Vaccines and in not infectious. Not all elderly people are Tech man probably fought for his country during the war.
