Rush - Digital Man (Bass Cover) (Play Along Tabs In Video)

Tips And Comments:

- Playing Technique:

Played next to the neck pickup with high strength. 2 pickup volume knobs at full

- Gear Sound:

Boosted high mid frequencies and some treble

- About The Song:

Some important tip is playing the 2nd fret/4th string always with middle finger in order to acces quickly to 2nd fret/2nd string easily

It's easy to play this song with a less agressive playing, but in my opinion you'll not get the correct sound

Thank you for making this worth the 2 commercials I had to wade through to get to your post.

This guy is the epitome of musical dedication. This is one of the hardest bass songs ever and he can play perfect no problem. On top of that, he also plays guitar! I play guitar and I'm pretty good at it and I'm only just starting bass. So hopefully I can get as good as this guy.

I had no idea that much was going on in the bass line in this song. Hell of a cover bro!

Wow. There are many Rush covers on YT and most get the general idea, but extremely few do note-for-note transcriptions like this, and I can tell you spent some time on it because you have it down, including the slides and little flourishes that Geddy does. You must have listened to the isolated bass track on the original recording as that's what I've been doing. There's something to be said for doing note-for-note; these guys spent some time constructing their parts and the right notes give it the right sound. Congrats!

I recently heard the isolated bass and drum track and am amazed at how spicy this bass groove really is. It is, to me, one of Geddy's true endurance tests on the left hand. Great video!

Damn I have had always had respect for Geddy's bass work but holy shit, seeing this left me in awe. Wow he's incredible. And you played it perfectly. Wow I like this song even more than I did before. And it's always been one of my favorite songs.

Thank you for the work that you do. Having to work a regular job during the day makes it hard for me to do as much homework as I'd like to do and your videos have helped me when I'm in a pinch, needing to learn a track for a gig. Cheers

I just can't understand people not liking this. Your playing is great and you have got a great channel. Alright, my request is a very special one because there is no bass cover of that song anywhere. The song is Introduction by the band Chicago. It's taken from their first album which was released in 1968 I think. It's a great track written by the late great Terry Kath. I have been playing bass for 2 years and that song totally blow me. Well, thank you!
