Fiskars Softouch Hand Weeder In Action, Pulling A Small Elm Tree.

My concern when I first got this, wasn't its looks, or how it felt. I wanted to know how it worked. On my first try, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could pull a well rooted small elm tree. Cutting them....even below ground level doesn't always work, because they can come up by the root.

This is THE best tool for getting the deep root weeds. We fight with Purple Knapweed and the roots are often a foot or more. Same as the elm demo -- if you don't get the full root it will come back again in no time. And it doesn't rip up the lawn

I have this same tool and it does work pretty good on some stubborn weeds. It wasn't too expensive either, thanks for sharing, T.

Works instantly for smaller weeds, sometimes have to pull with other hand. I use this and a hori hori knife when I have to cut weeds with huge roots.

I am glad it worked well for you, A friend of mine had something like that on the end and was on a stick.. She could use as a walking stick. She said it was her favorite too.
