I recently got an intership at a startup as a MERN stack developper and it has been a week now. I entered with the idea that the job workflow will be organized but in reality it is not if not non existant at all and all that matters to the team is to deliever a working product with no regard to project architecture or clean code. tutorials gave me the idea that building projects is done in a structured way almost a perfect way but that is not the case at all especially at startups. now I am focusing on the added value that I bring to the table as first priority and trying to organize my workflow along the way.

MERN is good to learn the logic of programming, learning what schemas are, etc. Sure, maybe not many jobs have MERN but it will teach you to think like a programmer in a short amount of time.

Great advice! I think as students we start with the creative lens, but to transition to a real world developer we need to start looking at things through a business first lens. Solve real world problems and be good at it!! I think the best developers find a happy medium of creativity and business solutions.

Fair assessment. We should be problem solvers; language is just what gets it done, but it needs to solve a problem and I guess we (as aspiring devs) need to be learning not language but problem solving. Syntax can be learned, but core principles is key.

Your website has quite a few design flaws. First, dark background and white text is a big no no. There are also several instances of contrast ratio failures (poor accessibility).
