This is the episode that made me see Picard again and I'm still going to say that this season should've been season 1 of Picard.

It’s amazing how a show can go from mediocre, to unwatchable, to really good. I’ve never seen this in my 34 years of living.

I really like how Riker threw a big rock at the Shrike as payback

That was so good. The scene at the end between Picard & Jack, his realisation the Jack did try to reach out only to be unknowingly rebuffed along with Jacks realisation of what Picard meant by relying on your crew and how they can get you through anything etc and that maybe he judged Picard too harshly in that moment 5 yrs earlier, absolute gold.

Did every reviewer miss the dig at the Jerati Borg from Season 2 of Picard ? Shaw says, "Forget about all that weird shit that happened on the Stargazer, the real Borg are still out there" - That was awesome

What a story by Captain Shaw embodies the ideals of Starfleet and how everyone followed their orders survivor's guilt excellent writing

There was a little bit of dialogue between Shaw, Picard, and Jack in the holodeck that I think needs a little more light shined on it. Idk if it was a subtle way of Terry agreeing with us about seasons 1 and 2. But in the scene Shaw says “Forget about all that weird shit on the Stargazer, the REAL Borg are still out there” idk if I’m just over analyzing something that goes no deeper than surface level but I honestly think that line was very deliberate

Just saw it and LOVED it. Even more excited for the rest of the season. Captain Shaw is really coming along. His experience with the Borg reminded me aLOT of Sisko during the very first Episode of DS9.

I thought this episode was just pure, unadulterated Star Trek. I loved it. It's been so long...

I love how Shaw's resentment towards Picard came from losing his crew. It would've been very easy to lean into the cliché of him losing his family or something, but the crew of his ship is a much more poignant mirror of how Picard's own chosen family is the crew of the Enterprise.

Can they not afford light bulbs in Hollywood anymore? The TNG sets were always brightly lit, as the working environment of a ship would be. These rooms would have their crew tripping over and stubbing toes left right and centre.

Will: "Well, something is different I don't quite have words yet - but we witnessed a kind of birth here and It reminded me that there's a whole universe out there, and it can be beautiful and amazing"

Deanna: "You haven't said anything as lovely as that in a very long time"

Will: "I know, and that's on me, and I'm sorry. I'm gonna fix, it with you"

I don't know, but I feel like this dialog was for the fans... maybe I'm overthinking this but I felt like "Star Trek"(Terry) talked to me through the dialog of the characters.

I felt the F-Bomb in this was actually the most tasteful it could have been. They're drinking, he's reminiscing one of the scariest and grueling moments of his life... it felt normal and correct.

This episode was fantastic and I am excited for the rest of the show. This is Star Trek. A new kind of Star Trek that is it's own style. But this is good for Star Trek to have different flavors to bring in more audience.

What season of Trek is universally loved by the fanbase? Yeah, exactly.

The scene where Riker jumps in there to have that rock thrown into the Shrike!!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen that move done before! And he did it so instinctually, like he’s done it so many times before😂 I’m loving Seven so far in this season. She may not have been excited about her new post initially, but she proved quite useful and I think she’s starting to find her place again. Capt Shaw, I guess we find out why he’s not fond of Seven or Picard—his past with the Borg. WoW. How am i just realizing that Picard was the only Borg with a name? 🤦🏻‍♀️ Too bad about the F-bomb. It was so out of place. Even if the show is not airing on primetime television and are allowed to use curse words, that doesn’t mean it fits into the show! Or the character for that matter. The moment Picard realizes he’s met Jack before—HOLY!!

This 4th episode is awful. Why would every changeling have Odo's bucket? Why wouldn't Beverly tell the Bridge she can predict the energy spikes? Why is Riker still using buried coffins? How does Riker not have any reason to believe in an afterlife? Why is Seven the only one who cares about the changeling on board? Since when do changelings leave residue behind? Why would that be something you can scan for? A product placement scene, really? Where do the meteors come from? Last we saw Titan was "falling" to center of Nebula... Why didn't Seven kill changling when she got the chance? Why would Riker think he need to hide anything from the crew for morale? Why would a Holodeck have seperate power? Why not tap that power to use in emergencies? And so much more...Like... Why did the changling need a phaser to kill? They can just turn their arms into swords like the T1000. Why does the phaser kill the changling at the end but earlier it merely absorbed 5 different shots...How did the Shrike know where to wait for the Titan? Why not destroy the Titan when they could? ...

I don't understand how you can still sing praise to this show. Sure it's better vs what came in previous seasons but how does it makes sense for picard and part of the crew to just hang out in the holodeck while the ship is still in a critical situation. So basically it's ok for them to all just give up and hang out in a bar? Star fleet officers especially picard would continue to work on the problem to the very end. This was just a reason to get character exposition which could have been done in a more logical way

Shaw having issue with Picard and Seven, i had a feeling it was because of Wolf 359. He was acting like Sisko did when he saw Picard on the first episode of DS9. Very Fun and good episode

I thought that this was a great episode. It wrapped up the nebula predicament as well as the plot line of the changeling running around onboard. There was plenty of action as well as tidbits of the unfolding story. What did take me out of the story a bit was how after hitching a ride on the energy wave the ship seemed to be completely fixed. It's as if all they needed was a quick recharge. And even though all of the power was previously rerouted everything magically came on. Even the vent covers were back to the closed position as they went to warp even though they were manually opened. But overall these are minor quibbles in an excellent episode. Best of all is when Riker got to give the Shrike a taste of their own medicine!

The F bomb didn't bother me like I thought it would. He's flashing back to his younger years. Remember when crusty old Picard kissed a teenage girl because it was when he was young? He's just going back to that, and trying to remove a barrier of tension between him and his son, "humanizing" the legend that he is.

I yelled "YEAH! FUCK YOU!" when Riker hit the shrike with the asteroid.
