WELL CAP, I STARTED MY HORSE RACE WITH A TURTLE! I BUILT MY FIRST LATHE 2 YEARS AGO OUT OF AN UPSIDE DOWN DRILL AND A $20.00 TURNING TOOL SET FROM HF, AND I WAS HOOKED!!! IT TOOK ME 4 MONTHS TO GET MY FIRST REAL LATHE, BECAUSE I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO TURN A BOWL WITH A DRILL!!! MY BROTHER JUST BOUGHT MY FIRST CHUCK FROM PSI ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO, AND NOW I'M SPOILED!!! MAYBE, ONE DAY, I'LL HAVE A SET UP LIKE YOURS, BUT IN THE MEAN TIME I'M TRULY GREATFULL TO BE "MAKIN SHAVINS"!!! FROM THE LADY TURNER IN TEXAS, THANK YOU MUCH FOR YOUR SHARED WISDOM!!! TAKE CARE CAP!!!

Six years ago when I bought my first and only wood lathe (Nova DVR XP), I found your YouTube channel. Following your advise, I bought a One Way Stronghold chuck. It has never let me down, and I thank you every time that I use it. One Way company has been my source for other items, and they have always been the highest quality.

Eddie, thanks for the rundown on chucks and jaw types. Always good information coming out of your shop.

True words of advice for even a more experienced Turner. Many times one has their mind made up when what they have chosen to purchase is COMPLETELY wrong. Your video will help solve the problem. SAFE TURNING, John
