As someone who owns a bunch of crappy quality stuff I kinda follow the same logic. The only things I have that are still in PERFECT condition were too expensive. Even headphones, I have 20$ ones that broke on the first drop still work though. I have another one I accidentally dropped not only is it still perfect but you can take it apart so you won't to buy new ones and can replace them. That's the quality that comes with price.
