It's too bad that the risk of a rash is a side effect, given the utility of Lamotragine for different disorders, including (as I understand it) off label anxiety and OCD in addition to bipolar. I wonder/hope that companies could be trying to develop a Lamotragine-type of medication that doesn't carry the rash risk.
