FOR PEOPLE WHO DONT UNDERSTAND THE CONTEXT ON WHY THEY ARE SAYING THIS: just btw so theres no confusion if u didnt know, the actors in never have i ever were doing a challenge and reading compliments that fans gave them and reading them to each other and saying in a funny way to make the other person laugh. thats why Maitreyi (devi) was saying that line to Darren (paxton) in a weird-ish and funny way cuz she was trying to make him laugh but he didnt break. then Darren went next and tried to make Maitreyi laugh. so Maitreyi wasnt actually saying that at the beginning. lol hope this helped!!
