People pay over a grand for nikes, it's designer it's going to be expensive and exclusive and aimed to a certain clientele, most of balenciagas clothing is solely for people who enjoy high fashion, I wouldn't expect someone who only buys the the same shoes in different colorways to understand, on top of that a lot of these clothing items specialty is the shape and sizing as well as the looks, it's defenitely for a certain kind of outfit for a certain person, at the end of the day high fashion is supposed to be more thought of as wearable art, designer clothing often explores the history of clothing as well as the particular designers personal view of the world and vision, take Mason Margeila for example he takes the German Army Trainer used during the 1980's and turns it into something greater than it was as a blast to the past. Modern streetwear seems to always look forward in the direction of clothing and Designer brands seem to value heritage and paying homage to the past and it's cultures to tell a story.

but this guy completely misses the reasons why they are. He doesn't understand the intent behind the product and it's really annoying. now im not saying this is worth the price or ar good (because they arent) but at least these are unique shoes. If i had 1200 euro the spend on a single pair of shoes and had to decide for a blnc shoe (not this one) or a fucking aj1 with a limited color probabily faked and worth actually a 10th of the reselle value i would chose the blnc ones (i would actually chose a proper like oxford shoe or a nice mocassino actually but you get the point)

Seems like you’re fully missing the point. Everything you talk about is in regard to classic sneakers. Balenciaga isn’t supposed to be treated commonly or supposed to be afforded by everyone. It’s high fashion and it seems like it’s more of a fashion experiment rather than a commercially viable product. Seems pretty fruitless to compare the stability or comfortability to something like a pair of Nikes. Lastly, in terms of pricing, I think it’s crazy to think that these are expensive when there are Nikes worth way more than that. Specially when they fake the rarity by just not manufacturing much.
