Love this, and love all your content!🥰 I’m a nontraditional ABSN student, so I was never bothered by the whole stigma of “real nurses.” To me, each speciality just can’t be compared!

Another great video Tiff and Herrick ( hope I spelled correctly). Thanks for sharing some information. Ah Tiff I totally understand about NICU nurses not being treated as real nurses by other units. But I always think if they go to NICU ... they would be clueless too on what to do. I remember theres this L and D nurse who thinks we only just change diapers and feed babies. Until one day she went to NICU and saw me taking care of a 26 weeker intubated on HFJV. And had lots of drips (meds and IV) . Thats the only time she said wow you guys are amazing. That baby is just 1kg . So ... i say each field in nursing is unique and no need for competition. For higher learning and education, i have a lot of coworkers who got their MSN but end up still being RN because the pay was higher. And thats something...im not sure of how true it is. I cant wait to watch your next video together . I dont comment on every video but ive watched all videos youve made Tiff. Keep it up :)

Hey Tiffany! I think I probably have to disagree . Our work in NICU is also as intense and busy depending what your facility demands are. If u r getting 26weekers or less. U probably won't have time to sit n chart.
Or being even a resus nurse.

Where I work, CVICU does tend to be a bit snobby. I think it’s because they work directly with the CV surgeon and those doctors tend to be very snobby. 🤷🏼‍♀️ usually the MICU, CCU and SICU nurses are great to work with. Thanks for your videos! 💕

So would it be a good idea to start in NICU out of school vs. ICU?
