So refreshing to see a seasoned Linux user who can talk about Ubuntu taking it just as what it is, without having the compulsive urge to belittle it.

For those wondering why some distros have zfs support and some don't. The ones that do use the gtk ubiquity installer and the ones that use Qt use the calamaris installer and because the calamaris installer is not made by canonical they may not want to mess with the installer just to get an experimental feature working

I like the format of these videos. No need to watch over 5+ Ubuntu new release videos when it's almost all just the same anyways. Just focus on the cool new things per distro, then plop it into one video.

I smiled inmediately when I saw the global menu on that Mate tweaker. I loved that on Unity and I always try to put it back whenever I go back to Ubuntu

Very nice video. Good overview and basic points covered without any bloat. Kubuntu is running just fine. Thanks.

I find it interesting that windows 10 is now on version 2004
While Ubuntu is on 20.04

My rankings, just based on looks (starting with my favorite):
1. Kubuntu (always been a KDE fan)
2. Stock Ubuntu (really giving Kubuntu a run for its money)
3. Ubuntu Budgie
4. Ubuntu MATE
5. Lubuntu
6. Xubuntu

You're my favorite Linux channel. Thank You for all you do. I think more folks should try Abiword. It's a clean and simple program. I use it frequently. I still use LibreOffice for advanced stuff once in a great while. Abiword is a must install for me, but everyone is different and you understand that well.

My favorite flavor of 20.04 is the one where wildcards work when you're trying to install or remove things (and not replace it with some convoluted workaround like apt-patterns), like for example if you want to get rid of all libreoffice packages you can simply run the "apt remove libreoffice*" command just like that, and it will remove all packages that start with the phrase "libreoffice" on your system and wildcards like * are interpreted exactly how you think they would be

Nice review, I will try the new Xubuntu in Virtualbox. The only things I change in Xubuntu is to move the panel down to the bottom, change the menu icon, & I change the icon size. Some say Xubuntu is boring & never changes. Well, that is fine by me.

I’d probably go with Kubuntu, though I am looking forward to when Ubuntu Cinnamon becomes desktop ready.

Your best review yet. completely unbiased and to the point. Will test Budgie for the fist time ever in any shape or form.
