The lone peak is a shoe that took some time to love but now it’s my favourite shoe, maybe favourite of all time.

It’s now time for LP5 to retire at approximately 500 miles ….

This video is about the how and the why I love it so much, thoughts on the lone peak 4 and chats about the lone peak 6.

Fantastic! I don't feel like most running channels really put shoes through the paces like you do, they have a lot more turnover. This is like a review of from birth to old old age! Great content! Thanks for all you do 👍🏃

Great video. I run very little these days due to some osteoarthritis, however I hike on average 5 miles daily. My LP 5s have lived a full life and brought me great enjoyment. I laced up my new LP 6s yesterday and my new love affair begins. I have been wearing Altras for at least 5 years. I am thinking I should buy 3 pairs at a time.

I am struggling with timp/LP/olympus for hiking. Thanks for going into so much details comparing them

You've def got your money's worth out of those bad boys James. Can't wait for you to get your hands on the 6's.

Happy retirement! 👍 After a lot of miles, James! Great shoes! Fully watched with great appreciation and respect my friend! ✌️ Have a great day! 💫

I'm impressed you got 500 miles out of them! Always feels good to get a decent amount of miles out of a shoe and then retire it.

We’ve already got our Lone Peaks in store!

Good luck with the 6's! The lone peak 5s felt great. I retired mine after about 80 miles because of injuries while wearing them. I don't think it was the shoe but just a coincidence. Either way, I'm scared to use them because of it lol. I'm a Timp runner and recently been using the superiors a bit too! Great to see you got so many miles out of the 5s!

Now this is a true love story James. Maybe time to stock up before they release the new model mate! 😎🤘🏻

Got those. Same colour. Only just started running in them as been wearing out the 4's as we speak. I always just buy the previous version a bit cheaper. Just wish the grip was 1mm deeper, better in mud and lasted longer. They wear out too quickly. Still my fav shoe though.

Nice review! I was going to order myself a pair last week! I'm right now using the Wildhorse but would like to switch to a more minimalist shoe.

Im sure you will get more use from the 6 in a wide fit if they are on rotation. I've only put 50 miles in my wide fit so early days for me

I'll be interested to see if yout think the LP6 is worth the extra Great British Pounds vs LP5 on discount. It's not looking like there's a major change in the LP6, but I'll await your sage words.

I wil receive the 6's tomorrow, so I can't give an opinion on them, but so far, the 4 is the best shoe in the world for me !

So retired shoes, are they a bin job or now a garden shoe? 🏡🏃

Hey I've just bought the Lone Peak 6. My first pair. They seem very big. If I press down at the front my entire thumb can fit in the space. Is that about right? I was wearing thin socks so maybe thicker ones would help? Thanks

I really hate that 'ripstop' type material they use on the top. Just seems/feels so cheap, although I think it does have some advantages.

I'd get another 500miles out of those 5's.😁
My Cliftons ripped this week with only 500k in them.

How many miles (approximately) of paved roads/asphalt roads are in the 500 miles?
