Last year, an obituary in the Washington Post went viral. It was for Freddie Oversteegen. She was one of three women who seduced and killed Nazis in World War II as part of the Dutch resistance. Now, half a century later, the stories of those women are being told, thanks to author Sophie Poldermans. She sat down with The Jam's Brandon Pope and Jon Hansen to discuss her new book, 'Seducing and Killing Nazis.'

Hannie Schaft is a beacon of courage. The Germans tasked with killing her actually managed to only graze her with their first shot. She is said to have calmly said "I shoot better" just before the guards emptied their machine guns

I read about this earlier in the year and I was amazed. War brings out the best and the worst in us and sometimes desperate measures are called for. In an age when we are bombarded with the likes of "reality TV" it only highlights the extroadinary achievement and commitment of those young women.
