I'd never heard this song before but had seen other guitar tutorials for it & because I didn't know it I ignored them for the most part. That means I clicked on yours and I had to Google the song. I actually like it, it is my kind of folky sound. I mean it isn't Goodman, Prine, or Isbell, but it is still good. Glad I clicked, I gotta listen to more of his stuff.

I'm learning theory from your Practical Music Theory course and I'm trying to analyse to key of the song.
It's either 2-1-4 in G or 6-5-1 in the key of C.

It's most likely 6-5-1 in C as the ending chord is C. Super fun, thanks.

best guitar teacher I've seen around. teaching is more than just skills - he truly excels at translating what he does to a format that makes sense to a beginner. and a cool accent.

one question though: i think in the original version the chorus differs in that there is one more chord in it played (one up - DDU UDU) - am i wrong?
