Dude I worked for The Offspring doing merch ONE time and it’s still my funnest day of work at that job. Them and their team are the real deal. Professional and beyond kind. We got fed and paid well and had a blast they really treat people right. This was in 2018 and I still leave a comment anytime I come across a video lol.

Producer was a moron, why would the offspring want to copy AC/DC. The aim should be to have your own identity. I think self esteem is better than a lot of ac/dc tracks personally.

Remember that Smash was recorded and released by an Independent label. They weren't a big band and they didn't have a lot of pull or a lot of money behind them. Smash is still the highest selling Independent album of all time.

Honestly I'm not a massive fan of Self Esteem, it's just okay to me. I think many of their songs are really great, but Self Esteem isn't one of them. Also I do prefer lower bass tones, because higher bass tones can sometimes get annoying to me
