The Dark Sides Of Living In IRELAND

preview_player
Показать описание
Living in Ireland comes with significant challenges despite its high GDP per capita and natural beauty. Economic concerns, including infrastructure struggles and job scarcity outside Dublin, drive 70% of young people to consider leaving. High living expenses, including costly fuel and housing, add to the burdens. Healthcare waits are long, and Irish customs, like tea consumption and slang usage, may be surprising. Ireland's unique approach to marriage and strict smoking bans are notable. The country's unpredictable weather and complex driver's license process pose additional hurdles. Yet, Ireland remains appealing for its education, safety, job opportunities, and welcoming community.

Marriage is for life. No time limits set. What you suggest is incorrect. Divorce is available. I'm Irish.

You have forgot the ongoing immigration problems, Ireland have been enduring in the last 5 years onwards on Mass . 😢

Hi, I lived in Dublin for about 17 years, I'm Spanish and, well we are quite similar in our approach to life in general so the same way we love Irish in Spain, they really like us. About the stuff you say in the video, well, in terms of drinking, the situation is far worse than you said. the average Irish guy drinks way more than 10 litres of beer a week, trust me but yeah, the economy is a mirage because of the ridiculous taxes for the big corporations which sooner or later are going to go, otherwise the European Commission will suspend all the help to the Irish Governments which, if you ask me don't have or didn't in the past a clue about how to manage the Country. Take a look at the horrible ilegal immigrant crisis these days. I hope things get better for this Country which is my second Home.

Your video is so factually incorrect. Divorce is available in Ireland but expect to be screwed for tens of thousands of Euro to get a divorce. There is no such thing as agreeing how long you will be married . It is NOT common to go to the Pub after work as most working people live from payslip to payslip as they have very little disposable income after the Irish government gets at their pay with direct and indirect tax. Mass uncontrolled immigration is the final nail in the coffin for Irish citizens, as it has put enormous pressure on every public service, medical, dental, and housing . This country is heading to its doom in my opinion because of appalling decisions by successive governments who evidently put the welfare of every other national above their own!

So our smoking laws at 4 and St. Stephen's Day festivities at 2 represent the dark side of Ireland??? Really? What a load of tripe!

We lived in Ireland for five years until last April and I don't recognize any of these alleged "problems". We lived in Cork and County Meath (about an hour from Dublin) and I can say without doubt that everyone drinks the tap water. Seriously, this is clearly a made-up video as we loved it there and will be returning permanently in October.

There is about 3.5m native Irish and the rest are none Irish nationals.
Most new buildings are bought by Vulture funds then rented out in extreme prices mainly to foreign immigrants.

Interesting…but not entirely accurate. But it’s what I would expect from something generated in the USA. Try asking some Irish people about genuine facts and you might be surprised.

As someone who lives there I am glad this video is showing the negative side too, people always pretend its so awesome here while most people live pay check to pay check.

As irish citizens, immigrate to Northern Cyprus at always 30 degrees centigrate to 40 centigrate with always motorways and affordable cars. Driving in all Cyprus is like in England, Australia, Thailand, Japan on the right side. İn all North Cyprus sterlings is the currency those locals worship and praise. Alcoholic drinks are very cheap, beer price in North Cyprus is 35 TL, 1 sterling is 41 Turkish lira; 1 litre spanish wine or italian puglia wine price is 70 TL. Studio or 1 plus 1 apartment rent in city centers of North Cyprus is just 400 sterling to 550 sterlings, some of them have got swimming pools like in Aphrodite Residences in Morphoeus Guzelyurt. Under hot weather citizens never get ill so no need for hospital visits, irish citizens can have allergies against polens, hays so you can get vaccination against allergy at North Cyprus Hospitals.

Ireland does have Uber and generally very good broadband and phone coverage.

Yes, GDP does not represent Irish wealth. Ireland is s bit of a tax haven, less so now, but a lot of multinationals here so money flows through Ireland, doesn’t stay here.

USA had quite low petrol prices I gather, cheaper than most EU countries and UK.

Housing is a disaster price wise, €1, 800 per month for a one bed apartment.

Dublin is a beautiful city, lots of galleries, museums, restaurants, shops, green areas and no high rise which gives an open feel to the city.

Marriage here is the same as elsewhere, it’s not set for a negotiated period.

Smoking ban is good by most peoples views. You can smoke in a park. San Francisco had smoking indoors ban before Ireland .. at latest 1998.

Never seen the straw thing here, totally new to me after 48 years living in Ireland.

Seems some errors in this, plus a bit of padding. Interesting though.

I live in Ireland- depends the perspective. An US citizen is a downgrade but for an Eastern European its an upgrade
