I have often wondered how well I understood good coffee because I have never liked Starbucks coffee or Nespresso, even though I own one. Well, I figured out how to make good coffee by buying a good grinder, beans, and a good coffee machine. Now I have also figured out how to make good espresso by buying a good grinder (Barista 270) and Gaggia Classic Pro from Whole Latte Love. I do not understand people who think Nespresso is even close to good espresso. The same way I do not understand people who think Starbucks makes good coffee. When comparing Nespresso to the espresso that came out of my new Gaggia Classic, it was like night and day. The aroma, body, flavor....everything. It was so smooth and even in its flavor. Beginning to think I was not so inadequate in my dislike of the "popular" Nespresso. Much thanks to Whole Latte Love for all the videos and information to help me make an informed choice in my machine and grinder.

Hi guys. This is the video that convinced me to buy the Gaggia Classic 2019 back in November 2019.

It was my first proper espresso machine (I previously had a DeLonghi superautomatic) and it took a while to learn how to use it.

But now I absolutely love it and wanted to say thanks for making this video and the other support that you guys have on your website for this product.

Hi guys…..you know, I don’t know how it happened but it did. I got my Gaggia classic a year or so ago. I have been trying to slow down the shot for a long time. I thought it was my grinder. But somehow I was using the wrong basket filter with the two way pin. Yesterday I discovered this. So today I am going to do some tests to see if I can get my shots slowed down using the right basket. Also my pucks were a sloppy mess so hoping that will be corrected as well, . These videos are so valuable for us coffee nerds always trying to make the perfect shot of espresso. 🇨🇦☕️❤️

I love that Gaggia hasn't changed drastically over the years. I now have TWO Gaggia Baby machines! One '91 era machine in black with the red illuminated GAGGIA logo switch block, and one 2002 model with the thin bronze/silverish stripe logo on the switchblock cover, that also has the kinda silly screw hidden in the funnel leading down to the water tank. The one I found was -so- rusty, it's going to take some work to clean her up. But still a great looking machine.
I love that the parts are easy to find!

Our GGP portafilter and basket heats up hot in 5 minutes in the brew group when the machine is switched on! First, not many machines can do that! Second, that feature helps lower the utility bill. Third, using less electricity is better for the environment! It's a win, win, win!

Thanks in no small part to your videos, I just purchased a Gaggia Classic Pro from you. I’ve gone through one too many $200 pretender machines, had one too many awful expressos at home due to cheap parts malfunctioning. I deserve the GCP.

Not worth upgrading from a silvia-steam-wand-modded classic, but nice to see Gaggia make these improvements.

Ok guys, want to say thanks for the channel. Been watching you for a long time. Bought my first machine from you guys a few years ago(Lavazza espresso point). It's been repaired and seals going so time to buy again. Wanted to go back to basics. Watched your channel and instead of the super automatic, and based off your videos, ordered the Classic pro with the 270Wi. Got the upgraded screen and basket. I also took your advice on the orphea coffee. Man was that a good choice. Love the coffee and It's coming out like a dream. I have started with the recommended setting on the grinder at 11, E and seems to be fine. Only complaint is that grinder makes a bloody mess. I guess that goes with the territory. Thanks for the combo discount bundle as well. I could not get that grinder on the website but called and one of your CS folks gave me a bundle discount. keep up the good work! Cheers.

Just placed my order for the Classic Pro from Whole Latte Love and can't wait to get it. Picked up a Rocky doser on the cheap and converted it to doserless.

They seem to have corrected the problems I have with my Classic. The drip tray on the original is loose and wobbly – not manufactured to the tightest tolerances. Secondly the ready lights seem better designed. One of mine burned out after a couple of months. Thirdly the original plastic wand was cheap but one can buy a Rancilio wand to replace it – a big improvement. This is not to diminish the machine because it is otherwise well made and is a real workhorse.

Also I reached out to Gaggia, this model doesn't not contain any dangerous amounts of lead and no longer has prop 65 warning. The previous classic does so be warned.

Thanks for the review. Have a 2004 model. Yes they are that good and last forever. however I can't get the coffee to drip like honey as you do.

Hi there. I have a question. I have had my Gaggia pro for two months now and love it. However when I do a double shot it comes out too fast…like about 14 secs maybe. Sometimes less. I tamp it hard but so I was wondering could it be my grind. I would love a better grinder but I have to save up for one. I grind it on the finest setting but in my mind it’s not fine enough….will having a finer grind slow down the shot? Any advice would be so appreciated.

It’s a bit off topic but I’m curious why WLL doesn’t carry the Linea mini??
