Hi!, Just found your videos looking through 40v XGT reviews. Let me tell you a sad story: I've been saving for months to buy the "top of the line" Makita hammer drill of my dreams: the XPH07 (DHP481 in Europe) and when I finally pulled the trigger to buy it I find out Makita just has released TWO more powerful and up to date drills: the XPH14 (18v) and the 40V XGT one you have. So, after all the waiting and overthinking on this purchase I ended up buying an outdated tool and I can't return it :( :( . Now I'm desperately trying to sell it and just accept to lose money in order to start with the 40V line. These are my first Makita tools, so I want to re-start with the 40v line, I think they are awesome and your review on the drill helped me decide to buy it.

With regards to the battery issue, I don't think it's too bad, but I'm just a DIY'er and builder wanna be LOL, so I trust your opinion and hope Makita fixes it.

Thanks for your reviews, love your style too!

I’ve been having issues with my xgt saw I put in a fresh battery and the saw just doesn’t work. If I mess with it and pop in and out it will work sometimes. Not sure if the saw or the battery but it could be the release button on the battery. Very frustrating to have this happen with new tools

How many recharge cycles do these batteries hold up, before you'd have to buy a replacement?

How are your level indicator stickers going...2 of mine have peeled off in 6 months and ZERO of my 18v ones have peeled off in the 15 years I have been using even my oldest 3.0ah

Half of my LXT batteries do what your XGT battery is doing.

18v is all you needed anyways. Anything beyond the power of an 18v get the corded tools.
