Everything the couple says is correct. Of course I cringed when, while being in the place with the best food in the world they said they still buy Marmite and Baked Beans, but I suppose you can't teach an old dog new tricks. On everything else, they seem to have got it.
I am a Greek who had to leave the country because in the years of crisis (around 2012) there were absolutely no jobs for programmers there, and I came to England. And now I am watching this and feeling so envious of them being there and me being here. Life can be very strange. But having lived in both UK and Greece, the differences are very clear and things in both countries can be appreciated more.

Good video, interesting stories from your guests, I'm really interested in the cost of living in Greece, when I eventually take my retirement (hopefully 3 to 5 years) I'd like to keep my property in the UK, use my lump sum to either buy or invest for rent, what really interests me more than anything, is a realistic cost of living per month, to actually live a life with treats and days out, not just getting by, if you could go some way into that in your next video, that would be great.

What about taxes: property and income, including global if any?

Curious to know if you rely on the public health system or the private and how accessible it is.

British people are very welcome to come and retire or work or invest. What i would suggest, is that they have to make an effort to learn the language, participate in the Greek Ortodox Celebrations which are brilliant. When a greek sees that you are making an effort to blend in, if you make an effort to be a part of the cultural and spiritual events of the community, you are automatically considered one of their own. In their minds you are as greek as they are because being greek is not about genes, it's all about culture, orthodoxy and community. Lovely video !!! Wish you all the best !!! ❤❤❤

Why do Brits call themselves “Expats” when they migrate to another country but they call people migrating to the UK “Migrants”? I seriously don’t get it?

Why Brits when live in Greece don't learn the language and mostly hang out only with other Brits? When in France they learn French. Why don't they do the same in Greece? They like the sun and the food but they don't respect the people? What else can I think of? This on;y happens with Brits and Americans and in a bit lesser degree with Germans. All other Europeans in Greece, French, Italians, Spanish, eastern Europeans, they all learn Greek!
