I have a weird obsession of looking at old vintage videos and photos just to see how people lived their lives during their times. Hopefully, if I got the time to record and capture events of myself and the world around me so that 50-100s of years from now people will see how I lived during my time...

It's not that the good times ended, but times change, and we react to different phenomena. I bet many people whose loved ones have been treated with new technologies, or surgery are happy to live in 2023. Saying that, I get this nostalgic feeling that I'm addicted to, watching these - I love this channel

I grew up in Las Vegas in the 1960s-1970s, and still remember the way life was back then - memorialized in some of the photos here. We've made some improvements (no more colored only entrances, less emphasis on smoking) but in many ways, I find it sad that we've lost so much of our national innocence.

ive been re-watching this for years. i love the photos and music. it does make me a bit sad/nostalgic. those were the the most prosperous times the US will ever know, for the white middle class. And for the struggle of the blacks, what an immense time of fighting and change. So much courage🤍.

This feels nice. Listening to 50-60's doowop and slow jams watching this sipping on whiskey. I was born in the wrong era it feels. Why do elders always say the good old days? As time goes on do things get worse and worse? I would say yes. Perhaps the kids today will look back at today and say they were good days. Scary to think about. Anymore worse than today is war, death, suffering, and the gnashing of teeth...

Hearing this music sort of makes me slightly melancholy because this montage and melody came from. Yesterday Today. One of favorite YouTube channels. If someone knows where they are or if they had a website. Please let me know.

Because this channel has my favorite montages and music. I liked and subscribed. Thank you very much channel owner. I cant tell you how much i missed this channel

I'm curious - has anyone ever seen themselves or relatives in any of these photos? I see SO MANY families in photos at antique shops for sale ... WHOLE families grown up, vacations...holidays everything .... and for sale. How sad.

2:44 This is the gas station attendant pumping the gas. In the 1950s, you never, ever pumped your own gas. One of the station attendants pumped it for you, and would clean your windshield free to boot, and check the tires and coolant free too, if you asked.

3:16 Love the hat, the lamp, and the girl's full skirt and petticoat, not necessarily in that order.

This music actually reminds me of the seventies sound.
