Good stuff, Stephen. I make a lot of micarta scales for knives, but have never done cast resin. Gotta try it now!

Stephen, I have enjoyed your videos on pouring acrylic and appreciate you taking time to do them and share. I have been thinking about using some acrylic in an accent ring for segmented bowl. I have never poured acrylic and had thought about having it poured. If you think it might work well in a bowl I would love to see you make one in a project video.
Thanks,
Jim

Did you make a video of casting into the mould? I would really like to see if the casted product had wood grain. I know you sanded it down, but would the wooden brick be released easily if the grain on the wood was not sanded down?
Ps. Thanks for the video

Great great great! I will be making a few of these. Thank you for sharing Stephen. Is there a reason why not to use your everyday silicone in a tube that we can buy in every hardware shop? I mean, what is the special property that casting silicon has vs regular sealing silicon?

Where did you get the HDPE? Is it a cutting board? Also is it smooth or textured? All the cutting boards I find have some texture on both sides and I didn't know if it created any problems textured.
Great video
Thanks,
Scott

Timely and well done. Very good tips too. Just bought the same material the other day to make some pen blanks. I have Stoner mold release for Alumilite. Can I use that when I am making molds using these kits?

Interesting. I've always used 3/4" Melamine cut into strips and screwed together. Works great as long as I use a mold release and insure the inside edges are all siliconed.

I've seen the product but never seen it used. Good info to have.
I sent you a message a little while back, just wondering if you picked it up.
Cheers, Lee

Amazing great video i learned from it, can you tell what brand did you use for molding? Is it good for making a shiny resin like a glass? Do i need to paint or seal the wood (model) to give it a shiny surface when demolding the resin out?
Thank you soooo much 👍🏼
