Thanks for this, I really found it helpful. You’ve explained a few very key, basic points (about knife shapes and their action) that I hadn’t quite figured out on my own. Granted I’ve only used knives three times so far, without any instruction. So I’m keen to get on to a new project with them.
Love the music! I hadn’t realized just how much I miss hearing classical music and I really like your choice. Now I have to find out whose music that was. I might suggest that at times it was a bit loud, competing with your speech. But I loved the energy and emotion it portrayed. Hope I can find that composer. I’ve been doing it all wrong, it’s not a knife fight, stabbing and slashing the color to death😢, rather it’s a mindful, technical, figure 8 dance. I’m not at all sure I have the patients to go back and retrain the muscle movement but at least you have provided me with a clear path. You are so like me 😅 yh let's paint - get the knife and just go for it. I've just rest drives myself and straight away I'm quote heavy handed. I do DIY and it seems it comes through in my painting. I stumbled accross you as I've only just decided to give painting ago and found finding your painting style refreshing instead of - oh no you can only paint this way or that - basically everything on podcast light handed - no use for me when I'm used to power tools 😂😂
