For me it is difficult to grasp how Misha got into the car for the first time and pushed it from the get-go! Thank you for trusting the condition of my car. It was the first time for me in the passenger seat of my car and you could see it in my face the whole lap...😅 This car has been designed and optimised for the track and it never gets tired, even after a full trackday. Light is always Right!

I went through most of the comments, thanks for the interest & positivity in my Elise. Here are the answers to your questions, if I missed out anything, contact me through the details above, I’m happy to help. :)

It’s a 2016 Elise 20th anniversary edition. It has the 2ZR-FE engine that you can find in the Toyota Prius + for example, nothing fancy. So it’s not the high revving 2ZZ-GE Yamaha co-developed engine. I had an Elise SC with 2ZZ-GE and it felt dead to be honest.

With the soft top up, you can’t go faster than 180km/h, it will fall apart. This Nürburgring weekend was part of a road trip to the Netherlands, so I didn’t want to drive with the hard top, because: The hard top is a pain.

Here is the list of mods & associated weight reduction:

- 11600g Cup R wheels
+ 2700g 205 & 235 rear NS2R tires weight compared to A052
- 3900g AP Racing 4-Pot Big Brake Kit + 308mm PFC-Brake Discs with aluminium bells front & rear. Carbon Lorraine RC5 pads front and RC6 pards rear
+ 320g wheel spacers front
- 1700g Nitron NTR40 Clubsport
Stainless steel brake hoses
Proper, aggressive alignment
Quaife Limited Slip Diff
KT Phase ZR265 with roughly 265 hp
- 14000g Aircon delete
- 390g Bigger full aluminium radiator
+ 370g Steering wheel spacer
- 14800g Carbon Reverie Mulsane C seats with 1100g each
- 1500g Sound insulation delete
- 6500g Radio and 4 speaker delete
+ 251g Sony noise cancelling headphones (Better than any radio and much lighter)
- 11300g Motorcycle battery, battery mount delete
- 4200g 54L Aluminium Racing Tank with Foam insert, driving with max ½ tank now
- 1300g Removed trim/replaced with carbon
- 600g Handbrake and gear stick cover
Dolomiti shifter
- 230g inner rear view mirror
- 500g Speaker mounts behind seats
+ 2200g Rear Wing
+ 2070g Front Splitter
- 4400g KT Exhaust, 200er Cat
- 1700g KT Manifold
+ 4100g Schroth Harnesses + Mount
- 2500g Empty water reservoir
- 370g Windscreen wiper
- roughly 2000g Softtop
+ 150g Porsche GT3 Brake Cooling

Since 2003, I've had the immense pleasure of owning a variety of lightweight cars. But every now and then, I try out something more powerful and heavy. But every time, I'll end up modifying them, and they'd just fall short compared to the Elise. So every time I've been drawn back to the incredible Elise. There is no substitute. You can do spirited driving like in the video all day long and the car is always happy. 😁

I have a hard time reaching for a drink in a sim race in ACC here. Mans cleaning his eye while holding the glasses and not lifting in a car with no cage... +9000 aura.

This is one of the nicest and most interesting cars you have had on for a while. Looks so sharp and great mods list. Rev range looks so usable too and it looks like it needs more revs!

One of the little things I love: no rubbing or scraping, even on the (mini) carousel. This is where this car is meant to live.

Such a lovely car <3
... and a testament that you don't need a gazillion horsepower to both go fast and have fun...

After watching your onboards for years I am finally going to visit the ring this summer! Thank your for all of your content and positive messages Misha

Boy that thing is a corner MONSTER. When you watch enough of your content you can see the little differences between the cars. The fact that it turns so effortlessly and barely any tire screech is a testament to the engineering.

Absolute track weapon and how cool is that, cleaning your eyes while doing a casual 90mp/h looking Misha had a smile the whole

This is where the racing seats make such a huge difference. You guys are not shifting at all with the g-forces. Car is straight up emotion. Chef's kiss for sure.

The Elise has always been the ultimate driver´s car for me. Extremely light, enough power to have loads of fun. If only i had the money ...
And i can see it in your Face Misha: Extremely focused, enjoying that you really have to *drive* this thing. That´s exactly what it was built for.

1:55 speaking of heel and toe; I've been really missing the foot cam! so much to learn from it for track - and otherwise spirited - driving, even in cars that aren't perfect for advanced techniques!
hoping for its return in the future :)

Perfect power to weight, just shows you don’t need big power in a good race focused car 👍🏽😎

The Elise is the textbook definition of a sportscar. Simple, light, Not too little nor too much power and it just puts a giga smile on your face. It's relatively affordable (At least S2s) but ever so slightly too expensive for a student (also has to be insured as an exotic in Germany iirc), which is why I went for the MR2 spyder.

Ive only heard it said these cars have a lot of emotion. It is crazy how right in the beginning of the lap the car feels so smooth, even as a viewer. He is literally gliding, and those gear shift are super fun lmao

I bought one of these last year in October. I'm really looking forword for Spring. It's a masterpiece for pure driving machines. A Caterham is more hardcore, but these Elises are much more good looking.
