Dancing in the Moonlight - King Harvest cover by Reina del Cid and Toni Lindgren

Happy Sunday morning, all! This is just a feel-good song that we thought would be cool to put on a couple guitars and have some fun with this merry Sunday day. Fun fact: the Baha Men have also covered this song, and upon wandering over to their YouTube channel to re-visit “Who Let the Dogs Out” after learning that, I discovered that “Who Let the Dogs Out” is *also* a cover. Who knew?

Not only is Toni a great guitarist, her harmony adds so much depth and color to Reina's singing.

Reina, your vocal is the definition of smooth. Love Toni’s chord progression in the third verse. Your voices work great together and your pronunciation of su-par-na-cha-ral was perfect!. Thanks for covering it and all the best to you both.

That guitar arrangement from 1:55 onwards is simply awesome, with the bass line and all.

My jaw dropped when I heard that jazzy style out of the strat, then when she came in with the harmonies it gave me goosebumps. Such a beautiful sound you two have 🖤

Ladies, soft voices and excellent guitar playing make for a well done song.

Toni’s chord work is outta this world. Her left hand looked like Thing from The Addams Family a bit there.

It does an old hippies heart good to hear 2 young ladies preforming so many old classic tunes. I love the way the 2 of you are so on the same page all the time, you complement each other amazingly well. You put your own spin on everything you do but still stay very true to the original. You are both so blessed!! Thanks as always for sharing:)

Seeing their smiles while they play makes me smile. Those of us who play know what they're feeling and it's divine.

Syncopation, bass line, and head voice
Toni's choice of rhythm and her use of a bass line at around 1:56 in, set up Rachelle's beautiful, but all to brief switch to head voice. This rendition is a lesson for performing musicians who want to know what is meant by "less is more". As always, thank you...

The video is beautiful, whatever your lighting setup is, it looks like you were bathed in moonlight! Nice timing, a nod to the supermoon. Reina's vocals, Toni's guitar - both sound clear and effortlessly musical. Around 1:18 Reina enjoys Toni's wandering, I like that note too! Thanks for a lovely cover.

I’ve been a Reina fan from the beginning. I’ve seventy and have witnessed many entertainers and her joy alone for music makes her special...
