Former BBC TV news presenter Huw Edwards pleaded guilty on Wednesday to three counts of making indecent pictures of children.
London's Westminster Magistrates' Court was told that the 62-year-old Edwards, who had been BBC's highest-paid top news anchor for decades, was sent 377 sexual images, of which 41 were indecent images of children, through mobile messenger WhatApp between December 2020 and August 2021 by an individual the police said was a convicted paedophile.
Edwards is scheduled to be sentenced on September 16th.
He resigned from the BBC in April.
