50 years ago I attended the Royal Ballet. Margot Fonteyn wore Freed of London pointe shoes so, of course, we all wore them! I could get through them like a crazy woman because I practiced, practiced, and practiced. Then I got hit by an 18 wheeler. What a bummer! 19 years all down the drain. Then I realized that those 19 years taught me self discipline, kindness, the joy of life. So nothing was wasted. I then became a Physician who have treated many dancers. Funny how life can change in one moment. I adore your channel. Thank you for looking after dancers and future dancers of the world. I mean what would life really be like without ballet❤

As a toddler i used to walk around on the tips of my toes after seeing ballet on PBS. My mom put me in dance classes before i was three, because she was worried i was going to hurt myself 😂
