John Farnham was 38 years old when Whispering Jack was released. Nobody ever questioned that Farnham could sing -- but the challenge to find his artistic voice and become Australia’s most trusted and beloved performer took half a lifetime. Every time i hear "the voice" it send shivers down my spine with pride.
Know Glenn (R.I.P) put up everything he owned in life for this one album for John, that so many record companies rejected and radio stations wouldnt play but ended up being a 24× Platinum selling album, 2 million sold world wide.
This will be an interesting film to watch..

My sister and I went to see the new JF film. Amazing, very emotional, beautiful, gut wrenching, cried, laughed. We made all the same comments like, how did we not know Farnham did vocals on Daryl Braithwaite songs? And Tommy Emmanuel was an addict but so many amazing stories and songs and make the hair on your arms stand up. I still feel emotional. Go and see if with someone that grew up during the amazing singers life.

Greatest Aussie singer of all time, I was one of those Aussie kids in 87 when Whispering Jack came out and took over the country, I went on to be a massive metal head and play in Death Metal bands and now teach guitar but I still LOVE John, I actually think Age of Reason is the better song to You're the Voice but I love everything he has done going back to Sade to his 70s albums to Little River Band.
Absolute legend and about Time he got a Documentary, my only problem is I am flying to the US two days before this comes to cinemas, hopefully I can see it over there !

Seeing John play with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is a wonder to behold. No one sings like him. There are dozens of channels on YouTube alone, from people who review him, yet did not know of him.
