In this talk, I describe a process mining method to validate whether a system, handling individual objects, conforms to its specification, which is written in a subclass of colored Petri nets.

We introduce the idea of objects' jumps, which resembles the metaphor of desire lines in urban planning. Are individuals moving through eroded paths which are unforeseen in the original system specification? Based on the idea of jumps, we can also calculate local measures, e.g., how severe is a deviation in a precise part of the system?

Through the talk, we make use of the study case of trading systems. Are buy orders and sell orders following their expected life-cycle within a given trading platform?
