What looked like a whimsical experience for Pokémon fans soon became a disaster comparable to the fall of Babylon, as the event was tarnished by downsides such as a lack of things to do, overpriced tickets, and a man smothered in Ravioli sauce...

Having a bunch of terminally ill children being displayed at a pokemon convention while the theme is playing sounds like something out of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia or another show like that

Imagine forcing a bunch of dying children to go onstage and introduce themselves to a bunch of strangers, then just have them stand there awkwardly during a performance. Poor kids.

One minor correction: Make a Wish is for kids with life-threatening illnesses, not terminal ones. A lot of parents refuse to accept help from Make a Wish because they think it means their kid is guaranteed to die

I mean...if the prices weren't so insane and cosplayers didn't have to briefly be half or more naked around children, the thing itself looks like a fun little "I have nothing else to do" kind of thing. Definitely more pleasant that the...other mentioned cons that actually looked crap.

...? It sounds like a somewhat mismanaged convention, it's not even in the same universe as something like dashcon. I'm sure you could find an equitable convention happening somewhere in the world on any given day.
