How do you know to stitch over 2 squares or 1 based on your fabric? Mine is 25 count and the pattern doesn't specifically state in the directions.

The plastic bobbin she is showing to wrap floss around are great stored in a clear plastic fishing tackle box. I have mine stored that way. You can purchase at Wal-Mart, Bass Pro, Cabelas, anywhere they sell fishing supplies. They stack neatly and I sort by number so they are easy to find when starting a new project.

Super loved all the info! Though I've cross-stitched for years - the info was so enlightening, so that I can do up my own kits. So far I've always bought ready-made kits. Thank you Kimberly! Also I need those eye glass lights :)! Do you stock them? If not, where can we buy them?

17 year old Granddaughter wants us to learn to cross stitch together.. Not sure where to start. We each bought a kit at hobby lobby they say beginners but my fabric is very tiny and the instructions are very vague😳 ( hummingbird bookmark) I’m hoping Kimberly can work her magic and teach us🥰. Alphabet samplers are very easy for beginners and have a few different stitches. I am working on a sampler pattern from the 1800's there is no J or R, both of which my OCD wanted me to add but I stayed true to the pattern. Love the lights.

I love to cross stitch! I bought Lori Holt’s Sampler pattern, and it’s my next project to start. I don’t think that I will be using the #10 Aida, but #14 instead. As I have been stitching a long time, I have all of the bells and whistles that you showed. The only thing that I have never tried is the Q-Snap Hoops. Also, I am having a hard time holding the hoop now. I had a joint replacement done on my left hand, and it gets fatigued if I hold the hoop for too long. Could you show some floor stand hoop options, because that is what I am thinking might be a good option to try. See you next week! Back to stitching for me!! 😊
