I'll always remind myself that when executive chefs in a movie shouts, throws plates, throws tantrums, swears and makes an absolute chaos in search for perfection, Gordon Ramsay may have imparted something in the production.

This vs Chef. Chef is the light hearted movie that puts the positive spin on cooking. It doesn't really display a stressful life, and it makes everyone want to get in a learn the kitchen. In burnt you get the reality of real fine dining and this film will scare anyone who has doubts about getting into the field.

I saw the bad reviews on RottenTomatoes, but I don't feel the same as those reviewers and critics. I immediately saw Gordon's influence and as soon as I watched it I searched for "Gordon Ramsay's review of Burnt". I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, as I have passion for cooking myself, and can only imagine what it takes to become a 3 star chef like Gordon. Finding out that Bradley actually spent time in Gordon's kitchen completely sealed the deal for me.

If you ever worked in the kitchen of a busy restaurant, that's what it looks like, things get heated, emotions get the better of us, it's just the way it is. Yes there's anger and negativity at times, but nothing surpasses the level of passion in those chefs. Please understand from a chef's perspective, the pressure they go through.

I notice the people who don't accept the reality of this movie don't claim industry experience. I moved from dishwasher to food prep when the chef (amazing artist) fired the current food prep in an argument during the lunch shift. Best training ever, and yes, it happens. And not just in top restaurants. The camaraderie and loyalty of the staff was also spot on. And it's not about the money. Those who have been there get it.

I just loved the movie. could watch it again and again. It is a magical mix of culinary world and the story telling of the big screen world. The movie was made with passion, had lots of detailing and the touch of personal struggle and rediscovery was just excellent.

Because I have a friend who works in culinary, I can say it was hell for him. One time he called me late at night crying because of the stress in the kitchen. Kinda feel bad for him and at first I don't understand is it that crazy, after seeing Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares, I thought it was all just for show. But then when my friend came along, mad respect to these people ngl.
