I love their little jabs while walking. It looks drunk, trying to pick fights with Noone around

You should mention how these little monsters start off as larve. They attach themselves to female spiders, living off the spider by sucking nutrients out of them. (they are tiny, virtually impossible to see to the naked eye) If they attach to a male spider they remain on it and wait for it to mate with a female spider where they transfer to the female. Once the female spider begins to lay eggs the larve drops into the spiders egg sack, allowing the female spider to enclose the larve within the egg sack. Then this little monster eats all the spider eggs and eventually hatches from the egg sack to devour various insects and arachnids.

this thing really reminds me of a small insectoid centaur, with four legs on the ground and the other two on the upright front half. i’ve seen mantises compared to centaurs too, so it probably comes from that.

All it needs now is 8 legs and it will be the most terrifying insect to have ever lived.

Just the coolest thing! I had never seen one of these until I watch the YouTube video last night about one and now yours. I love all animals, including all insects, and wasn't even aware this critter existed. I love his little antennas too! Thank you for sharing and educating us!

I once found a mantidfly when I was young and I thought it was some undiscovered species. I have never seen a mantidfly in person ever since.

Im happy Pokémon have finally stuck their feet into convergent evolution. The did region variant but I feel convergent evolution makes more sense.

I love it that way when animals mimic other animals through evolution.
