Animals NEVER forget kindness, nor the people that provide it. Thank you for rescuing the sweet baby and returning him to his mother. Bless you all.

Fawns are such cute, tiny and innocent creatures ! Many years ago I encountered one on a path along a lakeshore as I was returning from a secluded swimming spot. It was so small, barely knee high, which told me it was VEERY young !
This path was woods on one side with a small cliff and drop into the lake on the other side. The fawn couldn't see the drop because foliage grew between the path and the cliff. I stood still so I wouldn't spook it. After a minute (tops) the fawn walked back to its mother. I gave them a minute to get away then continued on.. I thought that was really fun and surprising situation, though I was worried I might startle the fawn and cause it to jump/run over the cliff. Luckily, it slowly went the correct way.
