Marios Shiatis was born on 13th October 1981 in Nicosia. As a child, Marios was influenced by folk music that he heard in his house and he began playing bouzouki and singing old and new folk songs at the age of nine.

While growing up, he searched for new musical sounds and influences such as Manos Loizos, Sidiropoulos, Asimos, and other great musicians of that era that left their mark with their work, and he switched to playing the guitar.
