You should un-do the hose connected to the pool and use the cap you pulled off to plug the pool. Connect that hose to the other side and you can shoot the water further away

A hack is close your return valve (knob next to where water goes back in to pool) take that hose off put on drain then your not spraying water like crazy. Just put back after back wash and reopen valve

When I turn the pump on my water does not spray out like yours, it just pours out. Brand new sand and brand new filter. I even hooked up exactly how you have it. Somehow sand is coming out into the pool.

Hi there. I’m new to the pool world and recently purchased an intex Krystal clear sand pump and am having trouble with low flow on filter mode. I am going to try this when I get home but do you also think it would help the flow if I shortened my hoses leading to the pool? The hoses are so long and I wasn’t sure if this was slowing down my water flow! Thanks in advance!

So you have to reset your pump timer start time every time you back wash? I have my pump start at 7 PM for 8 hours each day. If I back wash in the middle of the day, I need to reset the timer each time?

I set my pump to waste when backwashing it seems to do better.
