Dr. Griggs.. thank you for addressing this..I'm a retired social worker having worked with adults in need of financial support and insurance coverage..there are resources available.. it is essential to reach out to a social worker/financial counselors connected to your cancer center.. I think they are the best people to direct you to all the resources available covering the medical experiences I was very fortunate..I had my expenses covered by Medicare and a Supplemental Medicare insurance policy and for the cost of the HI medication, the pharmaceutical company offered a program which would cover that expense, but it is based on income eligibility.. the most important goal is to get well..

Being a 12 yr survivor I always feel so badly when women or men do a "Go Fund" me page to help them with expenses and they put $20, 000 to $50, 000 and you know some people are like "that's so much money" and neither party has any idea 20 - 50, 000 for a yr of treatment is NOTHING.
Thank you for touching base on the cost... this video is one I hope all cancer patients watch.

This makes me so grateful that I live in a country where health costs are no problem.
I feel so sorry for people in America who die because they don't have enough money to pay for their treatments.

Thank God I have insurance flipping the bill, however the cost is bilateral mastectomy, scars, hair loss, taste, energy, emotional healing needed, etc…but, one more treatment left! Prayers for those who needs help with expenses!

If it doesn't cost me my life, I don't care how much it's going to cost! I'm not a rich person either, just a cleaning lady. I've had two lumpectomies on my right breast, one sentinel lymph node removed, several core/needle biopsies before that, and thirty radiation treatments. I'm just now getting healed up from the horrible painful burns. I just started arimidex. I'll do whatever it takes to stay alive and to be here for my son's, family, friends, and my pets.

It's so unfair that people in this world should have to die a painful and fearful death because they can't afford healthcare. It's shocking.
