It's a pity we're not seeing Parker vs Big Mak in the ring instead of these "also ran" opponents. I don't think Parker would fancy fighting another big boy after getting demolished by the juggernaut...but the power of Big Mak vs the speed of Parker would be interesting

After this fight i want Parker vs Makhmudov. Plenty talk in the gym about that fight been talked about for fury vs usyk undercard in December. Wallin, Miller, Ortiz have all been offered the Parker fight this year but want 2 million each. So yeah Parker vs Mahkmudov id love to see. Sanchez is over in Saudi at the moment too looking for a big fight so that one could happen aswell

Absolutely correct - both fights are total mismatches and really, in an ideal world - these two should be fighting eachother. Maknoudov and his team would most definitely have taken this, but i doubt parker would have. Makmoudov is THE most avoided HW out there right now, no doubt about it. The top boys never discuss him and seem to want him to just disappear! In my opinion he beats everybody out there with the exception of Frank Sanchez who i think is the best HW in the world but again, is well avoided. But hey - thats HW boxing. None of these managers/promoters want to make the best fights

The problem Parker has with opponents that are gun shy, is they will obviously run and hold: and Joseph struggles with that. We will see, apparently he has done some sparring with Fury in preparation so let’s see. Yep, I had to resubscribe to DAZN, it was a bit sneaky of them but the card is stacked with heavyweights so I bit the bullet. They aren’t that clear either on their website, so a bit devious.

I remember the days when HBO had influence on how cards were put together.
They weren’t interested in mismatched fights and if you wanted tv exposure you’d be forced into a tough fight or flounder on the non televised portion.
