Last week OpenAI released a beta of a tool called "ChatGPT", a conversational AI chatbot brought "large language models" for text generation into the mainstream. people have been stunned by the quality of what these systems are generating; text that is near-indistinguishable from what a human would create. These new models are introducing challenging new questions for educators to grapple with around originality, plagiarism, cheating, and assessment.

Teachers across the country are rightfully anticipating how much these models are going to disrupt education and the future of work, and are asking: How can I prepare myself (and my curriculum) for this new reality?

In this webinar, Dr. Craig Booth, Packback's CTO and machine-learning expert, and Jessica Tenuta, Packback CPO, meet to discuss the implications of these AI text-generation models on education and give instructors practical suggestions for how to adapt.

These AI detectors should legally be free to use for students, including Turnitin. How can one be certain these AI detectors are inaccurate.

I don't understand why we seem to view ChatGPT as some kind of evil entity out to get educators. I think the challenge is more of asking questions about the purpose of education. It is a fact that the workplace of the near future will expect employees to be using these tools just like you'd be a joke looking for certain types of jobs without knowing how to use Office Packages. Shouldn't we be asking ourselves how best to leverage these tools, teaching students how to use them to solve real-life problems instead of making it seem like it's a crime to use what they will obviously be expected to use in the workplace?
