Episode #340
Author and explorer Andrew Collins joins us for a fascinating conversation about the origins of civilization, agriculture, and megalithic construction in the deep past, as evidenced by sites like Gobekli Tepe, Karahan Tepe, and others in modern day Turkey. We discuss Giants, Nephilim, Annunaki, the mysterious Denisovans, and a possible cult of the Cosmic Serpent in deep prehistory.

Much of this discussion is on the subjects in Andrew's latest book, "Karahan Tepe: Civilization of the Annunaki and the Cosmic Origins of the Serpent of Eden", which you can get here:

Thanks to Troy for the episode art!

This surprised me! Wasn't expecting this much speculation and in a direction I also didn't expect! Instant favorite! Thank you for having him on.

This was an excellent episode. I'd like to see one with BassForge as a guest. His channel is all about cymatics. I'm still learning, but the patterns are too closely matched to ancient construction to be just a coincidence.

I recently visited the British museum and those Mesopotamian/Sumerian wall carvings are truly breathtaking

The thing that kills me is that Collins goes with the mainstream Pyramid belief that Khufu built Great Pyramid 5000 years ago

I think that there is and always will be a loss of knowledge from generation to generation. I saw it happen in the engraving industry with the application of CNC. Analogue techniques were not passed down, despite being a union shop, and traditions and experienced techniques were lost when the older generation retired.
I can image a situation where not only a global cataclysm started the decline of technology but regarding any surviving knowledge was eventually lost with time for nobody to learn it from those that could teach it..."Only Fred knew how to turn the power on and Fred is dead!"

It's very admirable how Andrew calls out how so many will readily call things as being so much older than the evidence presents. It hurts the science. We need to hold strong to the data.

In a video on The Heart Of Louisiana site about the mile wide crater discovered in SE LA they found shocked quartz and other evidence like fractured bedrock and they estimate that it happened around 12, 000 years ago.
