Shorter playlist

I am proud to finally reveal nSolve. It is now out. I hope users get in on the product during this "introductory period".

Prior to this we tried a topology generator.

I suggest you make two videos: One where you show each tool/function without repetition and with just some very very short case presentations. You could even say a few words about the status of each tool and whether you plan to further improve it in the near future. And then you could make another video where you talk at length about workflow.

trying to find face orientation is the embodiment of my daily usage of blender :) glad to see I am not the only one who loses things in the myriad of dialogs and boxes. great product mx2, you've always been an inspiration.

The work you do is mindblowing - this is sick

Nice to see some new stuff from you !
I'd suggest trying to write a short paragraph explaining very clearly what this tool is. At this time the text from the Gumroad page is more cryptic than helpful : "Individual customization on a micro level behaviorally to maximize effectiveness" doesn't mean much.
Good luck !

I really like this tool and may pick it up. I can see that manual topology is better. Thanks for the informative video.

So interesting, keen to give this tool a try. I think the people commenting that they cant see the benfits in something like this etc, probably lack experience / understanding. Some of the merging and mouse based flow reminds me alot of everything i enjoyed learning to use maya. As much as maya has its own issues and i have many more years of experience in blender, This tool might be perfect !!
Great video, thanks man

We do this in a different way.
Ctrl+shift+R for korean bevel
Joining two points is reassigned to Shift+V
Normals chech is an issue that has been added since 2.8 (there were no such kind of an issue before), and we also patched it in preferences so red flipped normal could have a color overlay, and proper normals overlay (usually blue) can have 100% opacity so you dont have to turn it on and off all the time, like in 3dsmax or maya.
There were lots of workflow design issues in 2.8 though, most of them are still unfixed.

Looks great! I've missed your retopo videos with commentary explaining your thought process and problem-solving approach. Look forward to trying the new tools out.

Hey, we need a short vid summarizing the key features of nSolve. The Blendermarket description seems chaotic to me. There is no list of available operators, tool by tool. Like, one-sentence description of each operator. That would help a lot. I'm considering the purchase but I can already see I'll have a hard time learning it and embracing all the resources. On your channel there's a lot of super-long or super-short out of context vids that don't seem to add up. Maybe this stuff is meant for people smarter than me but I'd love to go like: Blendermarket > Documentation > Here you can do this and that and here's how.

Cannot like this video hard enough! Amazing job!

We usually segregate cyllindrical part of an ngon with Shift+V (as joining vertices) and then do ctrl+T and alt+J to get nice cyllindrical topology

Hard loop needs an auto merge functionality built into it. I find myself clicking on an edge then left clicking to drop the tool and it results in overlapping vertices. A simple grow selection -> merge by distance as a post tool macro would would work fine. Could get more fancy and detect if the verts being merged were created with the tool and only allow those to become merged. But that'd require creating and storing a Bmesh which would have a performance cost at 50k+ verts.

Also a gripe with orientation:
When you hit 'y' it locks to the global y orientation, allowing you to click on any edge and run hard loop at that location, it kind of functions like snapping. Please allow hitting 'n' or 'ctrl' to lock to the normal that's CURRENTLY underneath the cursor instead of updating the normal direction every time you hover over a new edge.

For example : holding down CTRL and hovering over edges keeps the current functionality, but releasing CTRL after selecting a normal will lock the normal orientation.

For now I'm using hardops set origin as a work around to modify the local orientation.

Adding 3d cursor as orientation options would be a decent work around as well.

It also disables camera movement while it's active, which is mad annoying lol.

It's the best tool in the set and it has a lot of potential. Cool stuff.

Some of these should seriously be Blender defaults. It would certainly be better if Blender had a Beginner and Pro toggle that lets you use Hard Bevel and all the other tools that allow you to break the mesh analysis built into the default tools. For professionals who already know what they're doing, such constraints only slow us down. Great work here, Mx2.

Learned about a potentially useful tool and what a bandolier is, so it's been a good day.

50% of the tool’s capabilities, or even more, are implemented using conventional blender methods, and it will be faster if you work with hot keys rather than constantly poking at the menu.
In the first example, for some reason you connected the vertices with the Join (J) command, when this can be done faster with the help of a Knife (why then do you need your tool?).
A chamfer with a shape with a value of 1 can also be assigned to hotkeys, I don’t see any problems with this.
You can turn on the display of face normals all the time, and in the blender settings, set the desired colors to transparency (front faces) and translucency (back faces), and everything will work in real time.
I don’t see the point in a separate command for connecting vertices to an edge when all this works with a regular knife.
Vertex merge tool? For what? This already works great in blender with Auto-Welding enabled and snapping to vertices using the Ctrl key.
Regarding the knife, I would add an action area setting (binding radius), because in the original version it is sometimes very difficult to hit the top with the knife.
Yes, the plugin is still crude, but many of the tools are worthy of admiration and the Blender developers should learn from you how to create great tools! Good luck to you!

I decided to cave in and buy this add-on. Only constructive criticism that I have is that I wish you'd get the abridged documentation like your other add-ons. Other than that, this looks fun along with machine tools and mech machine. This could be good for retopology as well 😊

I love your tools, they are probably the ones that have boosted my workflow the most. And i thank those tools for even having made my day job easier. It just starts to get confusing with all the addons, Boxcutter, Hardops, MeshMashine, mesh decal( i know its someone else behind those last two). And now this addon on top of all others adds another UI to learn and get around. It's also super confusing on how each one complements one and another.
It Makes it super confusing for me. Is there a way you are going to mix all those addons in one?
A very short elevetor pitch of a couple of minutes could also help, i need to go through 24 min at least to understand what the tool is about.
Again, nothing but love, i just want to understand how this can complement my pipeline. You are again the plugin maker that i trust the most when it comes to quality.

I just bought this add on not because it speeds things up but because it can do things other add ons cannot.
