Where does criticism of Israel end and antisemitism begin? Two scholars of high reputation in Jewish history and the history of antisemitism bring their expertise to this topic which has been loaded with polemics in recent years. Dina Porat is Professor Emerita of modern Jewish history at Tel Aviv University and the Chief Historian of Yad Vashem. The author of many books on the Holocaust and the Zionist leadership, she was crucial in formulating an extended definition of antisemitism accepted by many governments today. David Myers is Professor of Jewish History at UCLA, where he directs the Luskin Center for History and Policy. He also serves as the President of the New Israel Fund. His latest book is "The Stakes of History: On the Use and Abuse of Jewish History for Life." The discussion is moderated by American University History Professor and Director of the Center for Israel Studies, Michael Brenner. This is a ZOOM program that was sent to JBS electronically.

Maybe try doing this without the vampire accent. Dr. Acula wanting blood samples all the time would have been different sans that macabre accent.

How complicated. If I love you in all it different aspects, isn't that enough?

I'm sorry. Myers tries so hard, but misses the mark. Being anti-zionist is anti-semitic always. Just because some Jews are self-loathing, and anti-zionist, doesn't change that fact. And the Durban conference was anti-semitic in its very concept. When he tried to excuse the vile racism that came out of Durban, I couldn't continue listening.

Seriously I have a couple of questions as I am unsure where the line is.
Is it anti Semitic to criticise Jewish transgressions throughout history?
We can do this to the white race with total freedom from prosecution.

Can we talk about practical Kabul?
Is it anti semantic to talk about the dark magic taught in the holly books?

I’m am not trying to be disrespectful, I am curious to know where the line is.
