Thank you! When everything is antisemitic, and everything is racist, then nothing is, and it means bad people cannot be criticized for bad actions.

The worst crime is not anti-semitism. The worst crime would be anti-humanism. Doesn't matter what your race or religion is, one is judge by their deeds or misdeeds.

American here..

I support a free Palestinian state. I am anti-zionist and have been since I educated myself on the roots of the conflict. A bunch of Europeans move into an inhabited state and claim it as their own. I'm of European decent, but I'm not blind to see that the conflict was born out of the Western sense of entitlement. European powers supported Zionism and made the movement successful because it politically benefitted them to do so. It wasn't altruism. If people just used empathy and put themselves in the shoes of a Palestinian, their pro-Israeli sentiments would change.

It’s so ironic, because zionism was born from antisemitism… some European powers (mainly the UK) didn’t want to deal with the jews, so they decided to “give” them a bunch of territories (that wasn’t their in the first place), as far as possible, so they wouldn’t need to deal with them.
Religious fundamentalism leads to such outcomes, the more religious a country, the more it’s likely to become fascist, by means of discriminative legislation, based on unfounded circular arguments. That doesn’t mean that religion on an individual level is harmful, religion can become harmful if it’s used to justify ANY kind of operation motivated by a tribalist view of religion, applied with the aim of limiting freedoms/oppress people who are not part of such religion… Israel is just one example.

Very clearly explained. I wish more people understood these not subtle differences.

This is explained by Naom Chomsky... Apparently, this propaganda dates back 50 years to an article written by Abba Eban, then Israeli Ambassador to the UN. He (Eban), said that non-Jews criticising Israel should be denounced as antisemitic, while Jews criticising Israel should be denounced as self-hating and in need of psychiatric help.

The accusation has no foundation in reality and should not be dignified with a response.

Saying that anti-zionism is the same thing as anti-semitism, is tantamount to saying that being anti-nazi is racist against Europeans, or that being anti-Daesh/ISIS is racist against muslims.

It is projecting the violent political ideology of a small number upon the entire ethnic or religious group from which it arose, which is [checks notes] racist.

This excellent video seems to be still shadow banned by google and youtube. It does not matter if one searches it with the exact name, still nothing. That is why I have the URL stored, as otherwise it cannot be shown to other people who have problems understanding this issue.

If you wanted to get rid of Italy you couldn’t really say that you had nothing against Italians

Very clear explanation, thank you. When they try to conflate these concepts I'm beginning to make mental Venn diagrams. Concepts may overlap, but they're not identical.

Jews! There are countless lies and only ONE truth. The G-d of Israel is forever with us and we are not widowed. Come home to Zion Jerusalem and we will rejoice together in Him and He in us. A good sweet new year and a great Sukkot. This year in a rebuilt Jerusalem 🇮🇱 . Do not despair of the evil. A little of our light banishes much of their darkness. 😊🇮🇱

In the Old Testament, we have the example of Melchizedek in Genesis 14:18, 19. We see another example in Job – (Job 1:1) Job and Melchizedek were both outside the nation of Israel, and yet they knew God and were saved by Him.

Therefore God is no respecter of persons. He does not exclude anyone on the basis of race, class, culture, social background or position. -Acts 10:25-37 - God Is No Respecter of Persons, By Rev Charles Seet, Preached at Life BPC 8am & 11am service, 2016-05-22

I'm Jewish and I don't believe in what Israel is doing. It's obvious that a religious state is not necessary. Jews don't need one country: we are, in the end, a religion. Islam does not need a country, and neither does Christianity. No religion needs a country. Although Judaism is a religion that tends to create communities and even, in this case, a nationality, there should be a *very* clear distinction between Israel and the Jewish People. It doesn't even have to be called Israel. What matters is that it is a country that allows anyone. If there were a truly democratic and free country in the Middle East, it would set a precedent for the rest of the region, hopefully stabilizing the area. If we could just get out of this stupid rut and have a little more peace maybe we could fix the middle east.

The Palestinians whether Christians or Muslims are Semitic people. The Christian Palestinians are of Canaanites origin who are Semitic people. The Muslim Palestinians are of Arab Bedouin origin who are also Semitic people. The Arabs are against the concept of Zionism. They do not believe that the European Jews (Russian, Polish, Hungarian, Romanian, German, Austrian, Dutch, etc...) had the right to illegally immigrate before, during, and after world war II to Palestine, create a Jewish state in 1948, and displace 700, 000 or more Palestinians from their homes and lands with the help of the UK and the US.

Anti-Zionism isn’t simply “criticism of Israel”—it’s a denial of the Jewish people’s right to self-determination. Comparing Zionism to racism or colonialism is intellectually dishonest and ignores the historical reality of Jewish persecution. Israel’s creation provided a safe haven for Jews after centuries of anti-Semitism. Advocacy for Palestinian rights is valid, but it shouldn’t come at the expense of erasing Jewish history or delegitimizing Israel’s existence.

The problem is that too many of those who stand against Zionism tend to mix it with anti-Jewish agitation.

In this logic you must criticize jinnah for two nation theory which cause the partision of India 1947 killing more than 1 million people dividing the nation into two countries some people will comment that it is because of RSS, Hindu mahasabha. But in 1930s and 40s Hindu mahasabha and rss didn't had controll over Hindus . Negotiation was between Indian National Congress and Muslim league.

Semitic people or Semites is an obsolete term for an ethnic, cultural or racial group associated with people of the Middle East, including Arabs, Jews, Akkadians, and Phoenicians. The terminology is now largely unused outside the grouping "Semitic languages" in linguistics. Wikipedia

Languages spoken: Arabic Language,  Hebrew Language,  Aramaic
So Palestinians are semitic.
