When using the Crop tool to straighten and add canvas area to a photograph, check out the new Content Aware option which will intelligently fill in any transparent areas with computer generated “Content aware” information in Photoshop CC.

I’ve been following your content since I first meet you at the Javits Center when you were associated with Nik software. Your lessons and tips are always precise and easy to understand. Great work!!

Merci pour ce très intéressant tutoriel dont je n'avait jamais l'idée. J'ai essayé ces réglages (tools) et ils ont très bien marché.

There is a similar tool in snapseed app called Expand. Try that. It’s awesome!

Am I correct in thinking that this is destructive, and does not work on a Smart Object Layer (Photoshop Version: 21.2.1). When the layer is a smart object layer the option is greyed out. I guess it would make sense if the content-aware produces a different result each time.

where is the tool? How do you use it? All you said it was turned on not where it was or what it looks like

Thank you - this is GREAT! BUT.. a couple of times (around 3:30 for example) you do something to produce a very nice rotatable grid -- HOW did you do that??? It does not appear with Cmd T, so what on Earth did you do to get the fine grid and automatic straightening, too?
We love your videos.

First THis does NOT work on TIFF files. Tried to save to DNG like example, save as does not give this option. So saved as PSD worked but needed fixes so used lasso tool and circled area of concern hit Shft-Del as instructed then nothing happened. Used menu to find "Fill" but content aware is grayed out. HOW ABOUT A DETAILED EXPLANATION giving compatible file types etc.

Nice video, but it just doesn't work. I have repeatedly set the options exactly as in the video, and I still get blank white areas, instead of filled content aware areas. I have to go in manually and use content-aware fill on the corners. Ridiculous. I mean, what can you do when you FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS and still — nothing happens. Clearly an option must be set improperly; but which one? No help from the video, which, as always with these things, assumes everything works as advertised.

Well this tool bugs a 100% in the latest CC2018 It simply doesn't work. I re-installed CC2017 (along with cc2018) just to have that function. I do hope Adobe is going to do something about it!
