Strictly Come Dancing ‘In CRISIS’: Craig Revel Horwood Says Allegations ‘A Shock’

Talk’s Julia Hartley-Brewer is joined by The Sun’s assistant showbiz editor Amanda Devlin to discuss the latest allegations surrounding Strictly Come Dancing.

Judge Craig Revel Horwood has said the claims of abusive behaviour to past participants on the show have come as a “shock” to him.

Last weekend professional dancer Graziano Di Prima said he was leaving the BBC show after claims about his treatment of reality star Zara McDermott when they competed together last year.

There have also been allegations about the teaching methods of professional dancer Giovanni Pernice, which he denies.

On July 16 the BBC said it would introduce measures to “strengthen welfare and support” on the show, including a chaperone who will be present “at all times” during training room rehearsals.

Strictly come dancing professionals are trained to perfection, which take years of practice and dedication! I mayself used to be a dance and we trained everyday from moring to night until it was perfect! The Celebrities think it's a walk in the park waving their hand in the air! The celebs just want an easy life and the money at the end! It make my blood boil as I know how much training that goes into making the celebs look like they know what they are doing! for goodness sake celebs, grow up and face the music and knuckle down to a bit of hard work! I have been a dancer all my life and I know the pain and muscles getting sore, but just dancec through it! The celebs are just too soft!!

Each year the standard has become higher and these people are incredibly competitive. It is never going to easy.

How can we expect these celebrities to be so perfect in such a short time without some pain.

I do think some of the complaints are over exaggerated. Don't go on the show if you don't want to work hard.

Or reduce the standard dramatically.
