Hahahaha! I'm an American living in Mexico, and after 10 years when people start saying numbers above 50, my brain doesn't synthesize the digits and I just register it as "number number number" and ALWAYS have to have it repeated. The struggle is so real.

The only way I can remember the difference is using this trick 😂 (Sesenta has the S so it comes first alphabetically….Setenta has the T so it’ll come second) 😅 pero todavía se me olvida

Sesenta y siete (67)
Setenta y siete (77)
I remember by seiS (6) for 60
And sieTe (7) for 70 but people have their own memory hooks.
But they are very similar so if I was listening to 76 or 67 I would struggle to tell the difference. "¿Puedes hablar mas lento por favor?" 😂

Personally I struggle with numbers with 5 as it changes alot
Cinco 5, quince 15, cincuenta (50), quinientos (500), quinto (5th) there isn't really a pattern except it starting with either "qui" or "cinc".

60 Sesenta and 70 Setenta. Just remember that any number with 6 has an “s” within it like sei(s). While any number with 7 has a “t” within it like sie(t)e. 67 = Sesenta y Siete

I had never realized this should be a real challenge for people learning spanish. You are right! Even for us it’s very common to ask and make sure if we are listening “sesenta” or “setenta”. Guys, remember to ask people to speak slower, or say it digit-by-digit. Any person with common sense won’t mind.

My mother is Chavacano (Filipino Spanish basically) and we say 67 as "Sesenta y siete". It should be about the same since we generally got the same numbers as real Spanish
